Good Things Utah

For Becky's birthday we decided to go to a taping of the live talk show Good Things Utah. Becky, her friend Carly, and I went. If you want to see nice, pictures, go to Becky's blog. If you want to see funny pictures, stay here!

Before we could go on set, we had a bathroom break, so I thought I would test out my self portrait skills with my camera with the big lens on it. I was pretty impressed that I could reach out far enough to fit all of our heads in it!

We had to sit on bleachers for an hour, so they gave us these little pad things to sit on. We all grabbed 2 to make it cushier (the producer told us we could). Hopefully the late people had some to sit on! Sorry ladies, maybe you'll be earlier next time!

Since it was Becky's birthday, I thought I would take a picture of her, nice tongue Carly!

Looks like Angie is enjoying the food they made during the cooking segment. Hurry Angie, you will be back on the air in 5-4-3-2-1. Reagan ate like 4 of them. I will post the recipe.

Hmmm, like Pam was saying about the skinny jeans while she was here.....although Angie's legs are really long! Angie and Reagan had really cute shoes on.

The Jazz dancers were there, and after they did their shpeal for open auditions, Reagan wanted them to show her one of the hardest dance moves to see if she could do it. Here is her attempt. It was funny. She was complaining about pulling a muscle in her back afterwards!

Caught a nice face on this one!

And on this one!

We had fun there. Maybe we will go again sometime when all the sisters are here. Whenever the camera panned the audience I waved to Wes and Brooke so the Tivo would record it for them to watch. Brooke wanted to watch it over and over again. Embarrassing!

Princess Cake for a Princess

Yeah, I know, she is 2 1/2, get off my back! After attempting to make her cake out of a glass Pampered Chef mixing bowl for her birthday, and it not working after the 3rd try, I gave up and we just used the cake Grandma had at her house for her birthday cake. I told her I would make one, and we both forgot for awhile....until I remembered and found a real doll mold. And here is the cake.
She loved it. She had no presents, only a cake and we sang to her. She LOVED LOVED LOVED the princess cake.

No more DIAPERS!!!

"Happy Birthday Papa!" For your birthday on Saturday Brooke decided "Today is the day" and she has been a BIG GIRL ever since! She has had no accidents...yet...we have been to church, ran errands and out to eat.

Yesterday she took a nap on Dave's tummy and she they both woke up dry. Yaa-hoo!! I am so happy we will be using her diaper bill towards better things now.

Great job Seakabelle! I am so proud of you.

Happy 4th of July! And the beginning of a VERY large post.

We had a big day planned for the 4th. Dave's sister's family was in town with her 3 girls, so there were lots of fun things to do, thank you Grandma! Like I said, very large post, like 52 pictures...I am going to break it up over a few days, I don't have time for one. Here is breakfast on the 3rd and getting ready for the Stadium of Fire.

The scouts always put flags in our yard on the 4th, which I am so thankful for. I absolutely love it.

Now back to breakfast on the 3rd. We were supposed to get up and go see the hot air balloons take off and then go eat breakfast. Wes wanted to see them so badly, but couldn't get out of bed. So we didn't get to see them lift off, but we saw them just off the ground. Oh well, maybe next year. So we went to IHOP with everyone instead. The kids had a blast together.
Yes, Brooke is the only one in her jamas still. I woke her up, changed her diaper and put her in the car. Poor girl had no idea what was happening.
Wes and his cousin Tiffany are goofy together at every restaurant we went to!

No back to the 4th, getting ready...
Brooke and Nicole (cousin).
Brooke's new clip (Pam showed me how to make these, thanks! I am addicted now).

Some of the girl cousins at grandmas.

We had to go to Target to finalize out attire for the Stadium of Fire. Aunt Holly and Brooke started to try on sunglasses and we decided that the only real way to pick out sun glasses is to bring your digital camera and take self portraits first. Here are a few shots.
Look at Brooke pursing her lips. She is ALL girl. I love it.
Next up, Holly and I. After I took out shot, we were laughing and I called over to Pam and had a completely out of body experience. I was so confused. I was standing next to Holly and Brooke, calling to Pam and I saw myself next to Pam as I was talking to her across the jewelry cabinet. I said to Holly "How did I get over there so fast" (being serious), then I thought, wait, I can't be over there, I am over here. Well, there was a lady that looked JUST like me, same hair cut, same color, wearing basically the same shirt standing next to her. I was a little embarrassed, DAH!
And then Holly and Pam.
"Ta-da!"

Ear protection for the fireworks for the Riley Roo. Brooke was trying on for size.

Next post is the of the adults going to Stadium of Fire. Yes the kids went too!

"I Aurora" Princess

Miss Seaka LOVES princesses. Today she was Aurora. Don't mind the hair, it was a long day playing with her cousins all day long.

This is a little clip of her dancing and singing. You will have a lot of back ground noise from other cousins and Dave yelling to a friend cop, sorry, I don't know how to minimize the background noise so Brooke can really shine! Just watch her random dance moves.

Waiting to See Dad Fly...and more

Here are a few random pictures from the week of the 4th.

I went up to check on Wes one night and found him with his Lightning McQueen pillow in his shirt. I had to laugh, go get Dave and my camera and take some pictures. In the morning I asked him why it was in there and he said, "I wanted my stomach to be more comfortable going to sleep."

Waiting to Watch Dad Fly

The kids wanted to go and watch Dave fly, so we went to the local airport where he was and waited, and waited and waited. No sign of him. So we watched the helicopters for an hour and then left. Wes saw a plane getting ready to land, so we turned back around, ran out to the strip and watched to plane land, it wasn't him. I thought we would hang around for a few more minutes, I am so glad we did, because Dave finally came down. I don't know where he went, but the kids were so excited to see him come down and land.

Wes and Brooke liked sitting in it. When they pushed it into place, Wes thought he was going to fall out because the back end was pushed down and swung around and he wasn't expecting it! It made me laugh.

I thought dad, Kay, Uncle John, and some of the folks in Alaska (Kim H) would like to see the plane he is flying.

Roxy
Roxy is now basically as tall as she will get, now she just needs to pack on her weight. She is definitely still a puppy, she is 8 months old. We haven't been to the vet for months now!!! Yeah!!!

She isn't a smart dog, she likes to play with wasps. Yep, she has been stung twice that we know of. One time her bottom lip was so swollen that it stuck out so far, she looked really funny with her under bite. The second time was on the 4th of July, she was stung under her eye and it was a huge ball under her bottom eyelid. She is spastic outside jumping around trying to bite the wasps. Dumb dog.

WALL*E
Wes and his friend Karson wanted to go to WALL*E for weeks before it came out, so the day after it was released, our families went together. It was fun. All the kids loved it. Brooke calls herself Eva now. It is strange to watch a movie that most of it there is no real talking in.
